1. Initial Intensive Care for Calgary

When many people seek care in our office they often have just one goal in mind: Relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of care, we have several objectives:

  • Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem through our complete case history, comprehensive chiropractic spinal exam and where appropriate x-rays.
  • Additionally, we may refer you to one or several of our in house professionals for, Massage treatment, Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine Consultation or Orthotic assessment.
  • Based on the information gathered on the first visit we provide the patient with a complete Chiropractic report of findings x-ray review (as required) and appropriate referrals. With these evaluation, we then provide our recommendations for care designed to produce the fastest and most effective results possible for you.
  • As care progresses, we offer ways the patients can participate in their own recovery through motion exercises and communication with you to assure we are achieving your goals together.
  • Most importantly, we are here for you. We provide the education necessary for you the patient to understand the value of care and for you to make an informed decision to decide how the next phases of care, Reconstructive and Wellness Care, fits into their health care needs.

2. Reconstructive Care

Upon completion of your Initial Care Plan, the Doctor and CA will perform a complete re-examination and give to you an updated report as to progress. Based on the results of the exam the Doctor will provide several options as to how the patient may proceed with care. Scientific literature tells us that injury to the supporting structures of the spine (Ligaments) can take many months to years to completely recover and heal.

Based on the results of the re-examination a program of less frequent care will typically be recommended to allow the damaged ligaments, along with the many other structures of the spine to heal as best they can and to become again healthier.

3. Wellness Care

We encourage all our patients to achieve their best health. Through educational opportunities (like this website, in-house DVDs, literature and special presentations by Dr. Maguire and his associates), we hope to communicate the value of your health and how ongoing Chiropractic, Massage, Acupuncture and Osteopathic as well as Custom Orthotic care can be important components to a patient’s overall health and well being.

Our desire is to see our patients move away from the prevailing sickness care model of health (waiting for symptoms and then taking action), in favor of the emerging wellness model of health (Proactively caring for your health and staying well throughout your lifetime).
