Calgary Sciatica – What Is It?
Sciatica happens when some form of misalignment or damage compresses a nerve. This can be due to a bone spur, narrowing of the spinal column, or because of a herniated disc. The pressure on the nerve can cause extensive damage to the surrounding area, which can lead to inflammation, pain, and numbness. In most cases, the pain is sharp and severe, but not permanent.
